Ooops I did it again.

My June spending freeze lasted only 6 hours and I was asleep for the first 5. Also, my favorite mascara is suddenly failing me.

Despite my very optimistic yet lofty intentions of not spending money on clothes, shoes, jewelry, and accessories for the month of June, it abruptly ended at 6:26 am on June 1st when I purchased this.

I mean, $140 for the pair of Roxanne Assoulin rings? No brainer. Think of how great they will look in my makeup Reels!

Good lord, I am an abject failure.

Orrrrrr I’m helping to save this economy from an impending recession?

Let’s go with the latter.

However, it didn’t stop there. You know how you hear about alcoholics after years of being sober taking one sip of alcohol but then it quickly careens into a 10-drink binge? Yep, that’s kind of what happened over here with the shopping on that hot and muggy day of June 1st. (Because, honestly, I’m self-aware enough to realize there are some slight addictive tendencies going on with the shopping. #dailydopaminehit)

I then proceeded to buy this dress.

You can’t have enough white dresses, folks. I could create an entire newsletter solely focused on the best white dresses to buy right now. (Shall I?)

Yeah, so I guess I’m a quitter regarding the no shopping in June thing. Maybe No Buy July?

In other incredibly dismal news, my go-to very favorite mascara of all time is suddenly smudging on me, and I don’t think it’s the aforementioned hot and muggy weather.

I have never had a problem with the Tower 28 mascara flaking or smudging since the day it was released, but upon opening a new tube last week, it has smudged on me every day.

Here’s the kicker - I casually mentioned it on IG Stories last week and apparently, according to my DMs, this is not an isolated incident. Um, a lot of you are experiencing the same thing with your new tubes.

What gives and do I need to conduct a full-on investigation?
